FAQ

What people ask in a low voice

What if I'm embarrassed about my teeth?

We've seen everything and we don't judge. First we look and walk you through the options, no rush and no lecture.

When should I bring my child?

Around the first birthday or when the first tooth shows up. The first visit is short: a look, a talk, a sticker.

I don't have insurance. Can I come?

Yes. We give you the price in writing before we start, and there's a sample in-house plan from $29 a month (demo).

Will someone speak Spanish with me?

Yes: on the phone, at the desk and in the chair. The paperwork comes in both languages.

How fast can I get an appointment?

For a checkup, usually within days (this demo has no real schedule). For pain, the same day when we can.

Are clear aligners right for me?

It depends on the mouth. At the free consult we look together, and we also tell you when they're not a good idea.

Can I bring music or a friend?

Of course. There are headphones, but your own music and your companion are welcome in the room.

Notes from the sticker drawer

Things we say out loud in the office, written down.

Kids

How to brush a two-year-old who refuses

+ Read the note

First let them do it with their own brush, even if they only chew it. Then you go over it quickly, singing.

A soft brush that fits their hand, a smear of toothpaste the size of a grain of rice, and two minutes at most at the start. If one day it doesn't work, no harm: try again tomorrow.

First time back

What happens at a first visit after years away

+ Read the note

You sit, we talk, and we look with a small mirror and a light. If an X-ray is needed, we tell you what it's for before taking it.

At the end you get in writing what we saw, ordered by what matters first. You decide what gets done and when.

Aligners

Aligners or braces: what to ask before you pay

+ Read the note

Ask how long the treatment lasts, how many visits are included, what happens if you lose a tray, and whether retainers are in the price.

And ask to see the plan before you sign. A good quote fits on one page and makes sense.
